Maker Faire Aftermath

Tuesday, October 21st, 2008

Our display at Maker Faire was a big hit!  We won not one but two Editor’s Choice awards!  Chris MacD’s Apple Store seems to have gotten some attention, too.

I think we may have found quite a few new members as well.  We hope to see them in the forum soon.

Here’s Tony’s photos from the event, more photos from other members are soon to follow:

Monday, June 23rd, 2008

This past weekend was the grand opening of the new LEGO® store in Baybrook Mall (Friendswood, TX).

TexLUG was invited out to help with the giant build, and we had a terrific group of folks show up. All went very well. By late afternoon, Sunday, Yoda was finally done.
